The Founder and Executive Director, Anne Mabry, has twenty five (25) years of personal experience in this service support arena. Her daughter (Ashley – click on her photo story to the left) has a developmental disability and Anne has been the primary care taker for 22 years. Anne’s passion for helping people succeed in life, along with 23 years of people management experience for a very large technology company, plus leadership skills, business administration education and customer relations experience - assures the operations of JOYFULCare HOMES are well managed and deliver consistent high quality client care - with endless excellence! Ashley serves as the key inspiration for the work Anne does with JOYFULCare HOMES. As well, Ashley is the model for the Agency’s marketing and community outreach efforts!
Our first home is located in a privately owned residential neighborhood on the East side of Colorado Springs in the Stetson Hills community. Future expansion plans include additional homes in Colorado Springs, as well as Austin, Texas and Oxford, Mississippi.
The homes are fully furnished and elegantly-styled. They are intentionally structured with small group setting of three (3) clients per home, which allows for high quality personal care. The full-time 24x7 staff offers a warm, loving, compassionate, caring and Christian environment. All clients must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
In addition to offering a home to our clients, our Agency specializes in equipping the clients to succeed and live life to the fullest potential – through joyfully coaching, training, and mentoring the clients in life skills while instilling a sense of self worth and personal dignity.

General Description of the Business
The Agency’s primary focus is to foster a unique small group-like environment, in which residents are coached, mentored and prepared to ‘live’ up to their fullest God-given potential – in every area of their lives!
JOYFULCare HOMES services are primarily funded through the resident’s Medicaid waiver program administered by the Colorado Division for Developmental Disabilities and Department of Human Services Division. Private pay arrangements are also available. Other key funding sources to assist in fulfilling the Agency’s mission are fundraisers, grants, charitable donations and help from community business partnerships.
We are a faith based Christ-centered organization with a passion for the people we serve. Each resident has the opportunity to hear the gospel in an age appropriate and functionally capable relevant way.
